The Chapleau Chain of Lakes goes by the name of the Chapleau River. This link The River will take you to an aerial view of the inter-connected lakes.

When you click on the links along the right margin of the map, you will get a sense of how beautiful the scenery is.

Along these lakes you can usually see Loons, Eagles, Blue Herons, American Bittern, Osprey etc. to name just a few. Moose and Bears are also sighted frequently, Bears more often than Moose.

Beaver, Otter, Marten, Muskrat and many other animals also abound. Wolves are present as well but not seen as often.

The Timber Wolf below on the shore of Henderson Lake was snapped in August 2006 by James Harder. Henderson Lake is part of the Chain of Lakes.

Please look around this website and contact Ted if you have the time and inclination to go on a photo safari.
